PRE-EXPOSURE PROPHYLAXIS

Congratulations on making the decision to start PrEP!

At Urgentcare, we understand that prevention is key for Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (or PrEP) patients. Specialty medication can be highly effective for preventing HIV if used as prescribed, but it is much less effective when not taken consistently.

Patients should also practice safer sex and use condoms to lower the chance of sexual contact with body fluids which will not cause any Sexually Transmitted Disease. Our team at Urgent Care is dedicated to helping patients access from testing STD to the medications they need for health management and symptom control so that they can enjoy active, fulfilling lives.
